Lord, Help Us!!!

Most mothers and fathers wonder what their child will look like in the future. Joey and I have. However, with Noni, we feel as if we already know. Every so often I take a picture of her and I swear to Bejus that she looks like a teenager. Joey is already planning on how to get any of her would be suitors to head out to the woods with him for a little "target shooting!!!" (for those of you who do not know how old Noni is....she's SIX!!!")

As you all know, I love to order freebies. One freebie I recently received were some science DVDs and CD-ROMs for Nick. He loved them. He's into all that stuff. He was telling me all about how we share "GENES" with mice and yeast. Noni, in true Diva form, put her hand on her hip, rolled her eyes and said, "Bubba, I don't think so....I think I would know if I had rats in my pants..."
Yes, I tried to explain genes in the best possible terms to a six year old, she does, however, realize that he was not referring to her blue jeans....BWAHAHAHAHAHALabels: Nicklaus, noni

Now I understand why hubby wouldn't carry the "lunch purse." It did NOT match his fingernail and toenail polish!! Dang it...I wish Rob were still here...wonder what he would say about this little incident?? Would he find him "beautiful in a manly sort of way?" One could also surmise from these pics that we have wayyyyyyyyyy too much time on our hands here at the Nutz household. In all fairness, the hubster deserved it, he's always painting Justin's nails when he falls asleep...

Fingernail Polish - $ 2.50
Bribing Noni to Hush Up Laughing So Loud - $ 2.00
Seeing Hubby wake up to go to the hunting club with a full set of red nails - PRICELESS
He took the fingernail polish off. But can't you imagine Mr. Manly Man having to go to the hospital and taking his shoes off.....and then showing off those pretty nails of his?? Guess the lunch purse may not look so bad after all!!

Happy BIrthday To Who???
Friday, August 24, 2007
Although we are as broke as convicts, on Noni's birthday she asked to go to Hooter's of all places. Anyway, we were sick and tired of telling our kidz "no, we can't do that" and Joey did a side job that paid really well so off we went. Personally I think Nicklaus got her to ask to go to "The Land of Boobies." But they both said it was Noni who wanted to go...so I guess I'll let it go at that. We did have a good time, it was wonderful to be able to do something as a family that did not entail just driving to "the place we do not speak of" for our requisite $50-$60 of groceries for the week and cat litter & food for Jack, Loki, Kitty Fisher & the demon birds. Of course I had to tell our server that it was the Princess' birthday (gotta sing Happy Birthday again, ya know?) Sure enough, as soon as we were finished eating, our waitress went to the middle of the floor and clapped her hands and every waitress in the place flocked to her. (**more on this at bottom of post**) As one of them approached the table, followed by the rest of the flock, I could read Nicklaus' mind by the expression on his face. What did I gather about this moment? Well, I tend to think my boy was saying, "Oh my Lord, the Boobie Fairies have landed and they are coming straight to me....Yes Virginia, there IS a Boobie Claus!" They arrived at the table and asked Noni to come with them. This is her expression upon hearing that:

The Hooter Girls took her to the middle of the restaurant, where they announced that "Tinkerbell turned 21 today!" Then they made her do a little dance as they sang the Hooter's Happy Birthday Song for her:

She loved it. However, I believe in terms of happy kiddo, Nicklaus was the happiest of all.

** When Nicklaus saw the Hooter Girl clapping and all the others come to her, his little mind started workin' overtime. On the way home, this is what he'd conjured up:
Nick: "Well, I know how to get Hooter Girls, Daddy. I can just stand in the front yard and clap. They come to clapping."
Daddy: "Son, if it were that easy, I'd be outside clapping every night."

Noni - Fountain of Knowledge...
Tuesday, August 21, 2007
Noni has an answer for everything, she cracks me up all the time. Earlier this week, I was going to go eat lunch with her at school. This is the conversation we had:
Momz: "Noni, what are y'all having for lunch tomorrow?"
Noni-Bug: "Do you want hot lunch or cold lunch?"
Momz: "What are they serving?"
Noni-Bug: "Hot lunch is turkey."
Momz: "What's cold lunch?"
Noni-Bug: "That's the one on the white plate."
Momz: "Alrighty then." (they tell them everyday, as a way to help the learn time or something what time it is when they do certain things, one of these is lunch) "What time do you go to lunch?"
Noni-Bug: "Mom, we go right after the kindergarten and before the second grade!"
You know if that girl just keeps coming up with answers that quick without just saying I don't know, she could be a politician!Labels: noni
It's Hard To Believe
Tuesday, August 14, 2007

That it's been six years since I delivered The Drama Queen. On Saturday, August 11th she formally turned 6. Noni's my lil' princess. Except she won't let me put her in frills and lace anymore. The above picture was then. The following picture is now.
Happy Birthday Noni Bug!!!
It's amazing how many changes occur in just 6 years. You're breastfeeding them one day and then the next they are starting school. I am enjoying being a mom and trying to cherish every moment with my children. Because in the blink of an eye you packing them off to college.Labels: Birthday, noni
First Day Of School....
Wednesday, August 01, 2007
Oh God....
There were nerves, butterflies in stomach, panic feelings....
There were jitters galore....
There was a clinging to, not wanting to let go at the appropriate time....
There was reassurance that all would be okay, they would be fine, Mommy had to leave now...
There were tears, rolling down cheeks, hidden so no one could see.....
But, I'm okay now, and the kidz seemed to be doing fine, when I was pulled off and had to leave them....Labels: KIDZ, Nicklaus, noni, school
Another Pic Post
Saturday, July 21, 2007
I know I call my kidz terrorists a lot. But they are not always way too active. I had to share the following picture of the two youngest when they are at the best behaved. I'd go so far as to share they are pure angels in this picture. I am not delusional though....I realize that yes, they are asleep and yes, they will wake up. But a mother can enjoy a "Non-Terrorist Zone" for as long as it lasts. God help us all!!

To Say That I Am Pissed....
Friday, July 06, 2007
Is to put it mildly. I have been trying for months now to get my kidz records changed to a new doctor here in Statesboro. Please....if you live in my area and are looking for a pediatrician, steer clear of Pooler Pediatrics or Rincon Pediatrics. They suck. I've blogged about some of Nicklaus' learning related disabilities and such. He also has a few developmental ones. Not large ones, he just needs help with fine motor skills and such. Well, his school did not let me know this until our last parent conference, but they had been faxing my pediatrician for THREE MONTHS and received NO RESPONSE. I've had Nicklaus off of his ADD medication for the summer, because, I can deal with him when he's not in school with it, but he NEEDS it for school. Homework is not a task Nicklaus can do without his meds. Don't tell my I'm drugging my child or some other sort of nonsense, we've tried everything to keep him off the medication, but he simply cannot concentrate without it. Plus, I don't tell you how to raise your kidz, and you don't tell me how to raise mine...it's a fair trade, yes? So, I have until August 1 -that's when school begins-to get him on his meds, get their vaccinations up to date ( a chicken pox booster, I find it incredibly stupid, the shot wears off when it is the most dangerous for one to get chicken pox, but that is another post.) So, here I sit, with no doctor for my children and an assload of tasks to do before three weeks are up. OY!Labels: Nicklaus, noni, pediatrician, school
My Kidz...
Wednesday, June 27, 2007
As much as I bitch and complain about them, I do love my kidz fiercely. They are my world. Every so often, I'll take a picture and it makes me forget all they have done. It will take more than a cute picture of Noni and Kitty Fisher though, to make me forget the taste of salt in my coffeee!! If I only had one kid, this is the one I would have blown up for my free canvas, but I needed a current one of all three!

I Figured Out The Culprit....
It was Noni, trying to be her usual little witty self. When confronted she hung her head...then in her true demonic contrite self, she denied it. Lied...like a rug, honey. But, she was busted, her actions give her away. Why do all kidz feel the need to "when in doubt, lie?" It's something they are born with. Sure, they look all innocent and such, but, like the true terrorists they are, (at least my kidz) they are really planning on the most insidious way to launch a jihad on my ass and make me suffer. I carried them nine months for this?Labels: my kidz are terrorists, noni
That's Our Jack
Monday, June 25, 2007
Jack is the only dog we have now. He originally started out as Noni's but we all love him very much. Jack was around 3 when we got him and alread very set in his ways. He's around 5 1/2 years old now. He's like a little old man. He loves to be petted, but I can assure you there will be no stick chasing, ball fetching, roll over and playing dead from Jack. He tends to have the philosophy of, "I do love you all, but I really would like for you to pet me a few times and then just let me lie here." He absolutely hated the other dogs wanting to play with him, he's just not a play dog and we love him for that. When he first saw the chickens out of the pen, he laid there, waited to see what they were gonna do. You could just read the "Dear God, please don't let them think I will play or anything mundane as that." They didn't, they walked over to him, kinda looked at him and walked off. Jack just stared at them. He could care less. They don't bother me, I don't bother them. Here's a picture I took of Jack, Noni and her chicken, Little Mama. How many dogs just stand there and don't try to kill them a chicken? Not many. And it looks like she is kinda holding Jack back, she's not...she was just petting him!

I Do The Mash....I Do The News Mash...
Monday, June 04, 2007
When I was growing up at 6:00 pm every evening except Sunday, (we were in church Sunday Night,) the earth stopped on it's axis, the phoned ceased to ring, heck...the stars better stop twinklin' if they were doing it a little too twinkly. Why you ask? Well, even if you didn't I will tell you. Because that is when the news came on. I will somewhat date myself by admitting I did hear Mr. Cronkite say a time or two, "And thats' the way it was..." I was threatened with something near death, (not really, I was so NOT an abused child) if I didn't hush up and let Daddy hear the news for about 6,825,742 times growing up. Therefore, when I grew up keeping up with current events was not top on my priority list. However, one day I was nursing Noni, by beautiful little girl and what little bit of sense this world posessed flew out of the window in a handbasket. Or should I say jetliner. The date was September 11, 2001 and my darling baby girl was exactly one month old. Well, since that day, I like to stay abreast of what's hapening in my world. I like seeing what is happening in other parts of the world. And yes, Lord help me, I even like following the political process. Well, I found a site I really like. It's called
The News Room and it has all the local, national and worldwide news a person could ever want. If that's not enough, the categories are split into sub-categories so you can find specific information. Politics? No problem. Health, Life, even Press Releases!
And here's another way
The News Room rises above the competition. You can get paid to, and I love this term, MASH their content on your site. Remember, I hail from the land of mashed taters, mashed corn, heck, we mash up our carrots for babies to eat, so mashin' is just second nature. How does this work?
The News Room will pay you a share of revenue advertisers pay every time you mash news and its' viewed on your site. Mashing is simple, easier really, than mashing carrots for a baby!! Mashed content can pay you up to $4 per thousand impressions (CPM). When someone mashes content from your site onto theirs, then you'll earn as well. Most other places pay around $0.15 per (CPM) so you can tell
The News Room blows away other sites in this regard as well.
The News Room also offers a Loyalty Program that's pretty awesome as well. With all that said, it leaves me to find out about more pressing, life altering issues such as the following. You know, those things that make you go...hmmm.....Will some one....anyone....explain to my how in the world Haley Joel Osment could see and talk to dead people but had no clue
1) drinking and driving are just a dumb thing to do
or
2)Why the cosmos or whatever didn't tell him he WOULD be pulled over on his way home????
3) Hmmm...what exactly is drink driving? Is it like a DUI in Georgia? Or do you have to be famous and checking into "Promises," (THE celebrity place to dry out) to have it called "drink driving???" BWAHAHAHAHA.....

Didn't See That One Coming...
Thursday, April 19, 2007
Noni came in the other day and proceeded to share that she had some newfound knowledge. Her statement? "Momma, I know what Nicklaus and Nathan have that I don't and never will have." Oh Dear Lord, she sees they have woozles (click on the woozles word and you'll learn what the heck a woozle is) and she doesn't. I'm not ready to use the word penis or vagina with my 5 year old. So, I put on my game face and turned around to face her, "What's that honey?"To which she replied, "A sister." Whew....Momz - 1, penises and vaginas-0***I know a lot of you start teaching correct names for body parts practically at birth...and hey, if that works for you, go ahead. Just don't send me a lot of emails and stuff like I got last time for warping my son's mind by not telling him to call his woozle a penis. You raise your kidz...I'll raise mine...***Labels: noni, woozles
