The Day The Music Died

ROB would so ask me, "What in the hell are you thinking girl???" And then proceed to tell me a great story or two about the evil cat creature when I called and told him about the damn cats Joey got the kids. But you know...I'd take any ass chewing he gave out if I could just pick up the phone and call him again....I used to call him every Sunday...I still have some Sundays it seems something is missing...I try to put a finger on it...and then it hits me....it's him...he's not there for me to call anymore....and this is my melancholy little post about a man that meant the world to me. I hate he's not here to see my new house, to "show those boys how to shoot a deer outta the bedroom window" like he promised....he wasn't here when I boiled that huge batch of peanuts when we first moved in....I know others miss him also, and I've not posted about missing him, I guess 'cuz I felt I didn't have the right....but dammit....I miss him....Joey did hit the nail on the head when he said, "Some people talk and talk and you don't hear a damn thing and others, you should just shut up and listen because you'll learn something. Rob's one of those you should just shut up and listen to, because you'll learn a lot." I read a post Sam wrote where she said she missed her dad....Sam so do I.

When the day is done...
And there is nothing better than to settle down with a glass of White Zinfandel and let the kidz run free. If you're into Champagne and Wine then you know that there is nothing like a nice chilled glass of the nectar of the grape to take the edge off, enhance your dinner or to help you relax. I've always been partial to the light wines, I don't really care for the darker varieties. And for New Years? I have got to have the bubbly!!

Damn....
I have to go and babysit tomorrow from 7:30 am until 2:00 pm and with all three kidz at Nanny and Poppy's house, we ummm...had some alone time....and unlike most people it doesn't make me sleepy....it energizes me...and it's 12:54 am in the morning and I can't sleep....does this happen to anyone else?

This was just kinda cool...

I am SOOOO glad you got your nuts clipped....
Yep, that is what I said to hubby upon return from my babysitting excursion. At first I walked in and saw this 9 month old cherub, smiling and cooing and really missed mine being so small. I hated the fact that he'd had the vasectomy, the frozen peas on the cod episode as I call it. I really hated we couldn't have another little one...my name is NUTZ ya know?? Well, the baby was adorable, but had a HUGE case of the colic and cried for 2 hours straight at one point....I could do nothing to appease it. Finally, she went to sleep and all was well. Then when she woke up, we went for a walk in downtown Savannah for a couple of hours and just had a wonderful time. When it was time to return to the hotel she began crying again for about 30 minutes and then her mommy arrived and popped the boob into her mouth and all was well in baby land. Then I got paid....get this....$108 for ONE DAY.....6 hours...can you believe that?? Anyway, Nathan accompanied me and we left. On the ride home, he fell asleep and I called hubby and thanked him for getting neutered....BWAHAHAHAHA

Ya Ever Had One of Those Days??
Tuesday, March 27, 2007
When everything just turned to crap? I have them a lot....I am trying to get my house back in order, but had meetings at school, and all kinds of other crap to do. Today was the day, I have 3 kids clothes to put up....toys, books, the whole shebang...not to mention ALL of my stuff. I took everything that was mine, that means Christmas decorations, some kitchen stuff etc. EVERYTIME I tried to get started Nathan was into something else...once he opened one of those plastic tubs of peaches, there it went all over the floor, then a whole pitcher of tea, next a whole can of my diet Dr. Pepper. So, I am bone tired and haven't accomplished anything....and I babysit in Savannah tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. We could just live outta garbage bags...right?

Drug Rehabilitation
Monday, March 26, 2007
If you or someone you love need to seek drug treatment the task may seem insurmountable. Well a site offering all aspects of drug treatment is available by clicking on these links. Referrals to drug treatment facilities are offered depending on your particular need. A free assessment tool is also available on the site as well. The following tabs are available: addiction, intervention, recovery, relapse, drug info and after care. These could be useful to the addict and those involved in the addicts life. There are also separate informational tabs available for: Alcohol, Addiction, Detoxification, Chronic Relapse ,Drug Specific ,Drug Rehab , and Drug Rehabilitation. For those seriously seeking help with their individual problem a form is available to fill out, it's 100% confidential and will allow a certified counselor to contact you to discuss the best path to take regarding your new sober lifestyle. The site also promises, in every way possible, to garner your trust, with confidentiality by establishing trust and ensuring you a safe, yet private, referral to a rehabilitation center that is the best at meeting your particular needs.
There are many factors to consider when pursuing your or your loved one's sobriety and choosing a treatment center. They include, but are not limited to:
There are many factors to consider when pursuing your or your loved one's sobriety and choosing a treatment center. They include, but are not limited to:
- Insurance or Payment Plans - Will the center take your insurance?
- Is the facility accredited?
- Is it licensed?
- Does the facility offer medical, psychological, social and vocational support?
- Is the center appropriate for your age, gender and culture?
- Do they offer aftercare?
- Do they offer an ongoing assessment plan?
- Does the center offer addiction counseling?
- Does the treatment plan include help for the family members and loved ones battling this illness as well?
The list goes on and on. There are also the different types of drug treatment options. Short term, long term, types with medication, types without medication. Your best bet if you are trying to overcome an addiction or someone you know is, would be to seek help when you can. If a web site can help, for free, why not take it?
The Saga, Part One...
Saturday, March 24, 2007
This can also be called, "How I know my in-laws are the fruit of Satan's loins." (sidenote to only decent in-law I have-I ain't talking 'bout cha Tonya) With everything that we've been through lately, it's been a confusing time for all concerned. I can say I am so thankful to be back home with, what appears to be, the man I married and not the demon he was becoming. He's really putting forth an effort and will have an appointment at the doctor's office next week to see about a new drug regimen and perhaps coping skills when he feels the bipolar and anger taking over. I know my husband better than anyone, and he is giving this family and marriage his all, at the moment. I in turn am doing the same. But, enough of that...let's get to the crazier than hell family he has. Part one, at least. Believe me, if I shared everything, we'd be here for years. Let's begin by saying that if this chick doesn't have some form of drama or someone to talk about, (usually someone she was just face to face with laughing and having a hi-ho time) then she ain't happy. I've done my damnest to get along with the two faced bitch...but it ain't happenin' I always manage to do something to tick her off and then she goes off the deep end and won't speak to me anymore. My latest transgression? I mentioned her son went to Hooter's. I honestly did not know it would send her over the edge. Damn, you'd have thought I said he snuck into a titty bar and got laid by a dancer...She seems to think that he ruins his testimony as a Christian by going in there. I on the other hand thinks the whole lying issue thing he has going on my be the culprit to the ruined testimony. But, of course, it got all turned around and I was lying and Justin, of deer killing fame, who practically lives at our house was lying...yadda, yadda, yadda. Basically your stupid 7th grade bullshit. Hell, I didn't even know she was mad until I called her for like 3 days and she didn't return the calls then Joey talked to somebody that gave him the scoop. Anyway....back to more recent events. So, I pack up the kidz stuff and mine, we leave. He calls his "ever concerned" sister...bullshit...his sister is concerned when drama happens, it gives her meaningless little life something to do. So, I'm sure with glee and wild abandonment she hops her fat ass over here as quickly as possible. Why you ask? Because, she's bringing her video camera to document the mess the house was left in. (Hello...no one said to change all the locks and make me bring policemen who gave me 20 minutes to grab stuff) I swear if "Idiots R Us" had a local chapter, I could pick their governing body. Anyway...I am gonna finish this later, suffice to say, by the end of the night, ol' sis was comforting the hubster by filling his head full of shit about me and a 17 year old kid having an affair...that is another story in and of itself.

Really Cool Survey Site
Friday, March 23, 2007
This site is really easy, the surveys are pretty cool and it doesn't take long to add up some spare change. You get a certain number of opinion points for each survey, anywhere from 15 to 45 points, (that's for me so far) and you can cash them out for payment when you reach $5. 10 OPINION POINTS= $1 dollar,) so when you have 50 points, you have $5 dollars, in about a month, answering almost every survey they send, you can make about 45-50 dollars, I have!! You can also exchange them for prizes and such, but you know me, I prefer money. I would have made more, but with everything that was going on in my world I didn't answer quite a few of them...So, click on the link and check it out....it's a great way to make a few extra bucks!!

The Most Successful Drug Rehab in The Country
Is a program called Stone Hawk. Stone Hawk maintains a success of over 76%, which is quite phenomenal in drug rehab programs. Utilizing the Narcanon program is one reason this program is so successful. Another is the fact that the counselors know a lot about addiction, first-hand. How? Because they were once addicted to drugs themselves, and because someone chose to care about them while they were, they now care about those in the same boat they once were. One service that sets Stone Hawk apart from a lot of drug rehab programs is that every person that enrolls receives a full medical physical by a medical doctor. The doctor must state the person is able to begin with the addiction treatment program. The doctors also monitor those enrolled in the program and do further check-ups is the deem it necessary. If you or someone you know battles this demon, then this is definitely worth looking into.

So Far....So Good
Sunday, March 18, 2007
We have had the best weekend. I can really see that the hubby is trying with everything he has. He didn't stay in bed all day Saturday or Sunday! There has been no yelling or arguing. We went to pick up the kidz' trampoline at my mom's house and he put it together again as soon as we got home. Keep in mind, we moved into our new home August 1, 2006 and the thing had just stayed in the yard, he never once had any desire to put it together. Now it's together. I don't know if I've mentioned this before but hubby is a cabinet installer. That's his "official" title, but he also does counter tops, bathroom fixtures, etc. Anyway, he brought home a counter top that had been cut wrong by someone and his company was going to throw it away. He got it to make a table for me in our study so I can do my scrapbooking and Ebay stuff. It's sat here since August 5, 2006. Well, last month a friend gave me a really, really big computer desk, with storage and everything for my stuff. I told him I wanted the counter top in my laundry room. I don't know why, but to me it makes laundry a little more bearable to just scoop them out the dryer and fold right there. It is now in my laundry room and has already been used immensely!! Nicklaus and Joey stayed up half the night playing video games together. It's just been wonderful, like it used to be.
I can't say bipolar is and/or was the cause of all the problems, sometimes he's just an ass, no medical diagnosis needed. I really feel if he continues counseling and opens up about how horrendous his childhood was (even I don't know all of it, the parts I do are bad enough.) it would be much easier for him to cope with the effects of being bipolar. Just my hypothesis on that matter!! Take it with a grain of salt (with tequila and lemon, of course.) Hope this didn't bore you to much, stay tuned.....wait until I tell you about what went on when I left. It's a hoot & a half I tell ya :-) I didn't think idiots like these existed....and the things they can pump into someone's head, mainly my husband, really borders on "okay, I'm gonna knock your teeth down your throat, beeyotch!" His family is really a piece of work, I swear! They descend like vultures when they hear a marriage is dying....instead of being supportive and talking it out, seeing if there is anyway to salvage a relationship, keep a family together, a family with 3 kidz, they just go off the deep end and spew utter garbage. But they aren't really a big issue for us when we're together, he NEVER calls them. Lord, let me stop typing now....I promise more on this subject shortly!

wrong with American children in need? Why does Angelina Jolie have to head to all these other countries to get children? It's just irks me that so many are doind without here and she has to keep jetting all over God's creation to find more. How many little foreign or domestic children can one person possible need? I know some countries are really asking for American children to help their orphans out, but these countries she goes to, well I guess except Vietnam, are ones no one has ever heard of, much less been asked to take children from. Whatever.......
