Special Weather Statement
POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE STORMS and TORNADOES TONIGHT
Tornadoes...Be Prepared!
A rather complex warm front / cold front system moving into the region while aloft flows a very strong jet stream. This is providing the ingredients for an excellent chance for rain with thunderstorms and possible tornadoes, particularly tonight and early Friday. The greatest threat for the severe weather will be between 2 AM and 6 AM. Winds will be on the increase this evening outside the rain areas gusting over 30 mph at times. Stay informed about the weather tonight as these storms could strike while you are scheduled to be asleep.
